Dear House Rabbits Society,
My name is Daisy Cruise, and I am a senior volunteer with the Ventura County Animal Shelter Bunny Brigade.  Our shelter is currently over capacity with rabbits. Over the past few months we've encountered four separate cases of want to be rabbit breeders throwing in the towel, and turning in their bunnies. One such case involved fifteen Himalayans (possibly Californian/Himalayan mixes.). We've had a very hard time adopting out these rabbits, mainly due to their size.  I wanted to inquire about any information you may have on any local rescues that would take in large breed rabbits.  Without assistance these rabbits maybe euthanized.  These rabbits are all very lovable, and we've even had them spayed/ neutered in an attempt to make them more adoptable. We used our own donation money to the procedures done since the shelter itself does not provide this service for rabbits.  We appreciate any help you can give us.  The well being of our rabbits is at the for front of everyone's minds. Thank you, and have a great weekend.
Sincerely,

Daisy Cruise
Senior Bunny Brigade Volunteer
