Breaking news! Earlier today (Tuesday March 29), California’s legislature passed the strongest renewable energy requirement in the country, which Governor Jerry Brown is expected to sign.
 
This landmark law will require all California electric utilities to provide at least a third of their electricity from clean and secure renewable sources like the wind and the sun by the year 2020. This means cleaner air, new clean energy jobs, and lower  global warming emissions for California.
