HopeDance will be hosting a concert with Larisa Stow & Shakti Tribe on Saturday, October 17th beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Faulkner Gallery located in the Santa Barbara Library. Shakti Tribe’s music is a magic carpet ride for the soul as they boldly blend the ancient sounds of the east with the pop-rock melodies of the west. Larisa’s mesmerizing presence, heart-opening messages and powerfully brilliant vocals captivate. Music to make you dance, rock, think and just feel plain good from the band here to usher in a new era in music. Committed to expressing the joy in the Oneness that we all share, Shakti Tribe celebrates unity, culture and diversity through their music’s messages of peace, hope and love. In addition to their regular touring schedule at festivals, yoga studios, interfaith churches and beyond, the band regularly performs special peace concerts and workshops in prisons, jails and juvenile detention centers to instill personal responsibility, self-worth, reduce anger, and create attachment to their families and communities through the use of music, yoga, mantra, and meditation. Concert Tickets are a suggested donation of $15 in advance or a suggested donation of $20 at the door. Tickets can be purchased by ordering online at http://hopedance.org/purchase. Food samplings will not be available.
