STUDENT FILMS GO FOR THE DOGS!
UCSB student filmmakers and Santa Barbara K9 Pals have partnered to bring the Santa Barbara community a night of film and charity. K9 Pals is a no kill animal shelter who trains and rehabilitates dogs until they are adopted. With the continued housing crisis and recent fire animal shelters have become overcrowded. As a way of giving back to the community some UCSB filmmakers have decided to hold a benefit screening in order to help raise some much needed funds for the organization. ALL ticket sales and silent auction proceeds will go directly to K9 Pals. The only way for this benefit to reach its potential is for the local community to come out and join these filmmakers for a night of art and charity. The films to be shown include a documentary about Frank Borzage, a local director, as well as a documentary about the recent structural changes to Isla Vista.
When: May 27th, 2009
Time: 6:30pm (silent auction starts at 6pm)
Where: Victoria Hall Theater
Tickets can be purchased at the door for $5
