Youth Project is seeking space for occasional use by our nature-based
mentoring programs. Today we operate our programs out of our vans, and
from time to time we would love a place to go to get warm and dry while
continuing to work on our skills and crafts. As kids get older we offer
more focused projects, such as: harvesting reeds and making baskets;
making our own fire-by-friction kit; leather work; hand-made beads; and
many more. Some of these projects can't be completed in a single,
three-hour program, and a site that we can leave materials at and
return to for two or three programs will offer a sense of continuity
for our participants that we currently don't have.

Inviting all women who are or want to be into permaculture! Seems like more people wanted to do clothing exchange instead of succulents.? I've got a big pile of clothes to swap out.? I'm happy to haul whatever we don't trade to the Salvation Army.

If you are coming from Goleta turn right on Calle Del Remedio and go
straight down into Alpha. If you are coming from Santa Barbara turn
left. In any event you are turning away from the mountains not
towards them. If lost call Larry at 805-451-4168.

SoCal Pg friends,
Please contact me if you'd like to take 4-6 days to walk to Quail Springs
from Ojai or Santa Barbara--if not leaving 2/17, then whenever you will be
ready to leave!
Here are the routes I've been on before:
http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/view?uname=colinleath&isOwner=true&tags=route
I'm posting info about planned hikes at:
http://groups.google.com/group/dhws
and
http://fo-rest.blogspot.com/2009/01/calendar.html
But, really, I need another motivated person to help me plan something
solid--(I've spent enough time out there alone! [13 weeks+ in total]).
There is a planned SoCal hike this weekend organized through tribe.net that
we could meet each other at too:
http://trailblazing.tribe.net/thread/dc3bee56-a283-41f9-90d0-2e6ea7b59d96
I hope to meet you out there someday!
a breath and a smile,
Colin
