WOW! The Wonders of Wetlands
This 1-day workshop will introduce you to three parameters of wetlands (vegetation, soils, hydrology) as well as wetland functions and values through fun and interactive activities in lesson plan format that are correlated to National Science standards. WOW! has been called, “the most comprehensive introduction to wetland issues and definitions” by the North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE), and is a recommended resource by the National Science Teacher’s Association (NSTA).
Location: The Oak Grove School in Ojai, California

POW! The Planning of Wetlands
This 1-day workshop introduces educators to the concept of schoolyard wetland habitats, including wetland design, construction, monitoring, project funding, and most importantly, their contribution as an extension of the classroom. Studies show that habitat programs help boost academic achievement! POW! takes you through the process of building a schoolyard wetland from start to finish using 25 exciting student activities in lesson plan format.
