Akiva, do you feel compelled at all to protest your
government, or does fear keep you quiet?

excuse me, john:
i'm american and israeli... i AM the gov't and create/embody the policies which
will hopefully become the laws of the lands eventually.
"protest" is usually more like "anti-test" which is very different than
actually living my truth through action. (see thich nat hanh's book "Peace is every step")
i seldom try to dissuade dissimilar others clearly dedicated to conflict to change.
that is, of course, other than doing what elisabet saturis recommends regarding
'seducing others with my joy.'
others may want to join the cacaphonous chorus of complaint and ego-riffing,
i don't. i've got a garden to tend, apprentices to train, and Colbert Reports to watch...
i.e. better things to do with my positive energies. the article you sent, along with the other million and a half articles of various and diffeing viewpoints, are one person's biased take on reality.
also, if you ain't living it, you don't know it.
there are plenty of people who on record as dedicated to destroying me as an american, jew, israeli, and eco-dude. if they are somehow healed or otherwise eliminiated from the picture, i'm ok with that.
as a freedom-lover, i encourage others to do what they must as long as they don't try to
mess with my life. green mountain boys, don't tread on me, etc.
thanks-
