Greetings fellow earthsavers!
Let's face it. Our world is in deep, deep trouble
and we are the "troublemakers." We have to make real, difficult changes
yesterday.
Despite the obvious benefits, we are not going to
recycle, compost, or talk our way out of this.
Our leaders, being politicians, are not leaders at
all but are bound to be followers, who just won't be there for us in a crisis.
So, it's me and you. Let's turn the world
right side up, let's live this revolution.

use. Stay tuned for Part II that we hope to finish by the end of
May. This second installment will included photos, writings and references
to the many projects that we have accomplished over the years - biodiesel,
"powering down", growing our own food, installing solar panels (thanks to Allan
of EE Solar) seasonal eating, using and building the cob oven (thanks
to Ray of Cobanation) and much more.

Homestead

in the May/June issue of Natural Home & Garden look for it on newsstands

When photographer Stephen Dabrowski trained his
camera lens on the Path to Freedom garden for the Natural Home & Garden
piece, he focused on more than the sunlight on the plants.
"As the Dervaeses worked in their garden, I
realized that the real beauty lay in their intensity and devotion to what
they truly stand for as a strong family -- the love of working with the
soil, the crops and the animals."

In our society growing food yourself has become the most radical of
acts. It
is truly the only effective protest, one that can-and will-overturn
the
corporate powers that be. By the process of directly working in harmony
with
nature, we do the one thing most essential to change the world-we
change
ourselves. ~ Jules Dervaes
