Agenda - Presentations by tree care
professionals,
certified arborists and urban foresters:
- 8-9am - Tree Care Myths, using natives, what to look for at
nurseries
9-10-15 am - How to plant a tree - We split into 4 groups where
participants will plant trees supervised by Certified Arborists, and
learn basic pruning techniques
10:15 - 11:20 - Prevent negative impacts to trees, dealing with
disasters, dealing with common tree pests and
diseases
11:20- Noon - Getting professional help, how to run a tree planting
project, long term urban forest planning
Noon to 1pm - A chance to mingle with the speakers about your
specific questions while enjoying a complimentary box lunch (with
reservations).
