June 25: Introduction to Cob Construction
Building with Earth!
with Penny Livingston-Stark and the Regenerative Design Team
This Intro day is ideal for anyone who wants to learn more about building with cob (sand, clay & straw) and will serve as the kick-off event (&prerequisite) for a week-long cob building work party! This is a unique opportunity to experience and participate in the building of a cob structure from beginning to end in just one week!

June 26 – July1: Cob Building Work Party
Building with Earth!
If you have some experience with cob building or are joining us for the Introduction to Cob Construction, then come play with us at this week-long cob building work party. We will be constructing a cob greenhouse from start to finish designed with living walls, integrated planter beds, an altar and aquaculture pond!

Starting July: Four Seasons Permaculture Design Course
Instructors: Penny Livingston, James Stark, Jon Young and special guests.
This permaculture certificate course kicks off with an intensive weekend on July 30/31 and then meets one Saturday per month for one year! The curriculum and the hands-on activities will be integrated into the seasons and provide participants the experiences of winter pruning, spring planting, summer and fall harvesting, food preservation and other activities that relate to the seasons.

The Permaculture Institute of Northern California is EXCITED to offer the only 4-day workshop exclusively with David Holmgren on the west coast!
In this advanced intensive, David Holmgren, co-originator of the Permaculture concept (with Bill Mollison in 1970's) provides an insight into permaculture as a set of design principles for reshaping how we manage land, our lives and our livelihoods in a world of energy descent.
