<<An Evening to explore some “outside-the-box” options to solve the
affordable housing crisis.
Wed., July 25th from 7 to 9pm at The Palm Cinema
(on Palm Street near Broad in SLO, CA)
Two documentaries will be premiered. Bob Banner, publisher of HopeDance,
will
moderate a Q&A after the films with people in the audience. There
will be
numerous plants in the audience who will answer questions about the film,
intentional communities and local cohousing.
“Follow the Dirt Road” is a 53 minute documentary that focuses on real
people
living in intentional community and discussing topics such as: schooling,
money, mediating, decision-making, child-rearing... while traveling the
country to more than 20 different communities.
Also, the Global Ecovillage Network produced a 1/2
hour film called “The
Habitat Revolution” where global ecovillages are thriving throughout the
world... Findhorn, The Farm, and others... (with Spanish subtitles)
This event is part of an
on-going series of vitally important
documentaries in collaboration with HopeDance Magazine and The Palm
Cinema.
Also, this particular evening complements the theme of the current
July/August issue of HopeDance which focuses on “Sustainable Living
Arrangements.”
$10 for general admission; $5 for students, seniors and handicapped. No
reservations are necessary. Please come early. A dinner at the Big Sky
restaurant at 5pm prefaces the evening. Call 805-544-9663 for
details....>>
