A large group of professional Japanese arborists and landscapers will discuss and demonstrate the pruning techniques for Black Pines on June 13 and 27 at the Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden on the Cal State Long Beach campus.
Demonstrations will be conducted from 10:30am to 11:30am on both Sundays. Japanese tree trimming experts will be on hand from 9am to noon.
The event is sponsored by the Japanese Garden, the Art Tree (Ueki) Trimming Club of America, and the Nanka Niwaki Sentei Kenkyu Kai.
The garden is located along Earl Warren Drive on the CSULB campus. Free parking is available in the unmetered spaces in lot 16.
