I'm excited to announce a special Grow Food Party happening in Bonny Doon on Sunday, May 30. What's special about it is it's at a beautiful community where 3 wonderful families have recently moved. They also happen to be on the edge of a small lake! This is sure to be an epic party! As always, feel free to invite friends, family, and anyone you want to share this beautiful experience with!

Hi Everyone!
We're having a Grow Food Party at our new Bonny Doon place (Three Springs, 9255 Empire Grade, Santa Cruz, CA 95060) on May 30th from 9.30am to 5pm and we'd love for you to be there for all or part of the day! Early birds get the bagels and later we will have a potluck lunch. If you don't know what a Grow Food Party is, it's a gathering where we hang out, eat delicious food, play music and plant a garden. We do it all in celebration of the new culture we are creating together - one in which people tend the Earth together and care for each other. Imagine what the world would be like if we just did this over and over again throughout the world!
You can check out some videos on Youtube by searching "Grow Food Party Crew." At our place we will be making planting beds, planting veges and herbs, sheet mulching, kayaking on our pond and singing some songs.
We thank you in advance for coming to have fun, learn new skills, and most of all contribute to our families!
What to Expect:
Expect to experience your perfect mix of hanging out and having fun and pitching in to plant the garden. How much you work is really your choice.
Though it’s planned and facilitated by Abundance In Balance Design, the whole party is actually generated by the people who come! Everyone pitches in with their own work and creativity in the moment (see below for opportunities to assist at this party).
Do I need to bring anything?
Attending a Grow Food Party is pretty simple, we recommend you bring along the following:
• A desire to have fun!
• Clothes to get dirty in
• Sunhat/Sunscreen
• A water bottle (to cut down on dishes)
• Potluck Item
• Tools to use for the day (if you have them)
Carpooling:
Parking is limited so please carpool if you can!
Assisting with the Party Crew:
To make this party effortless and seamless, we form a crew of volunteers that look after key aspects of the party. These people take on roles like welcoming, organizing food, music, looking after children, and caring for the host. If you are interested in assisting, please respond promptly, because we will need to organize a few things ahead of time.
