An evening with Mark Lakeman, founder of The City Repair Project
Monday, March 28, 6:30-9:30pm
Doors at 6:30pm
Presentations begin at 7:00pm
Suggested donation, sliding scale: $10 - $20. No one turned away for lack of funds.
No time for dinner? Don't worry, vegan and non-vegan options will be sold by ChaVegan Kitchen!
City Repair has inspired people to paint intersections, install benches, plant gardens, build Little Free Libraries, and other creative techniques which bring people together as a neighborhood and a community. Come meet Mark, hear some of his experiences and thoughts, get inspired, and connect with a few people/projects who are launching similar projects to transform their local places. Transition Pasadena, a local community action group working to connect, inspire, and support individuals and neighborhoods using the Transition Model to build resilient communities, will be opening the presentation by sharing some of their local work on placemaking projects.
