Hello LA friends,
I'm looking for a long-term paid caretaker/gardener for the Sundown dome to start when I move in early November (more on that soon) and the place is listed for short-term rental. Terms would be very flexile, but generally involve:
- managing of airbnb listing of house, that I might very occasionally return to after a year or so.
- care of low-water/maintenance quarter acre of gardens & pond.
- lots of freedom to plant/use gardens in any way; includes 20' dining table, fruit trees, herbs, veg, natives, succulents, etc.
- flat monthly pay tbd; possible increases tied to monthly income from house.
- free use of 18' diam, 255 s.f. canvas dome/yurt (move-in, build-out, use in any way) on elevated wood platform with covered conversation pit, electricity & city view.
- possible addition of small structures in garden for sleeping, living, bathing, etc. (composting toilet being installed).
- use of entire home when not rented.
Ideal for a young artist/gardener/maker/handy-person (or couple), organized & meticulous, looking for a long-term place to make themselves at home on the east side in a flexible/creative way with initial daytime office/studio/gardens and perhaps later modest
(but free) living arrangement.
