This fall San Diego Permaculture and Sky Mountain Institute presents the 5th Bi-Annual San Diego Permaculture Convergence at Sky Mountain Institute and neighboring property, 2848 Country Club Road in Harmony Grove, Escondido. Over twenty of the top permaculture specialists in San Diego will gather to lead you through the design and implementation process of home, medium and large scale rainwater harvesting and food forest systems through a number of lectures and hands-on workshops.
We will be using a backhoe to dig two different pond and swale rainwater harvesting systems capable of harvesting over 400,000 and 600,000 gallons of rainwater per year, and there will also be home-scale demonstration projects that can be replicated in your backyard. In addition there will be many other fascinating topics covered including aquaculture, rocket stoves, building a chicken coop, growing shiitake mushrooms on oak logs, awakening the ecological self, the wonderful world of bugs, goat care, children friendly workshops and much, much more! This is an incredible opportunity to immerse yourself in permaculture for the weekend and network with like-minded people in a beautiful permaculture demonstration garden with the Escondido creek running through it.
The first 50 tickets are available for an incredible low price of $75 (just $32.50 per day), after which the following 50 tickets will sell at $85 and the remaining 25 tickets at $100. Kids 6 - 17 years $10 and 5’s and under are free. The last convergence sold out so we recommend early registration to avoid disappointment.
