Please support this fantastic project!  They are in 3rd place and very deserving of some support.  Therese who is organizing the Throop Church venture (turning this community resource into a demonstration site for permaculture and edible landscaping ) is also a force of nature around many local sustainability initiatives.  Please vote!  A small effort can help someone out who does a lot for our greater community.

"There is one, and only one, solution, and we have almost no time to try it. We must turn all our resources to repairing the natural world, and train all our young people to help. They want to.
We need to give them this last chance to create forests, soils, clean waters, clean energies, secure communities, stable regions, and to know how to do it from hands-on experience"
"...the greatest change we need to make is from consumption to production, even if on a small scale, in our own gardens. If only 10% of us do this, there is enough for everyone.
Hence the futility of revolutionaries who have no gardens, who depend on the very system they attack, and who produce words and bullets, not food and shelter."

Subject: $5000 award

Well folks, we have entered the last 24 hrs of the Tree People contest.  Voting Ends Sat July 14 at high noon.
We are in third place of 19 contestants and could edge to the front if we could get a few more people to vote ( they do not tell how many votes behind we are)

Have you all emailed all your friends to vote at http://treepeople.maker.good.is/projects/Throop?
The $5000 award could really go a long way at Throop garden.

Thanks for the old college try.
