| In this hands-on workshop, led by Nance Klehm and Julie Burleigh, we will build an enclosed toilet house out of reclaimed and new materials. The toilet house will house the gardening library, and have a rainwater hand...washing-station-to-grey water irrigation component. It will serve as a safe, imaginative and pleasant model of urban eco-sanitation.
This will be the first such structure built in Los Angeles! Learn: - Basic concepts of eco-sanitation: transforming human waste safely into nutrient-rich compost. - How to set up connecting water systems – rooftop rainwater collection-to-grey water irrigation-to-landscape
