Ford Motor Company and Green Festival encourage you to apply for the Los Angeles Ford Community Green Grant for a chance to receive $5,000 for your sustainable, forward-thinking idea. The grant will be awarded at Green Festival, Sunday, October 30.

You are invited to the annual Green Prize for Sustainable Literature, profiling current sustainable trends: buying and eating local, the commons as a way of life, rogue efforts for sustainable policies and grassroots action on October 27, at 7:00 pm. Discussion will incorporate the 2011 Green Prize-winning books. This year’s Green Prize Pioneer Award will honor Bill McKibben, author and founder of the grassroots climate campaign
