wondering what tree species would be good candidates for super adobe clay "soil", hot summers, locally-sourced, a low-water xeriscape with tasty fruit perennial trees or shrubs based on solid permaculture design ideas of biodiversity, companion planting, community compatability, multi-use, etc...?
