aloha permies Graywater legislation passes the House!
Thanking Melora at ReCode Oregon for their efforts to promote home power systems
Comments - this is needed to encourage the normal people with homes to collect rain-water
for outside use, but a family in SE Portland been using rainwater for yard & filtered for in
house use over 5 years, he worked for PDX city & gave many tours (i got) 5 years ago on
how to build & operate a multi function grew water recycling systems, most of the year.
Lets find other communities that support, allow & even fund natural home power systems
going off the spendy power grids, like millions now living healthy beyond empire grips.

Hi Graywater fans -
The Oregon House just voted 45-10 in support of HB 2080 - the bill that would legalize exterior graywater reuse in Oregon. Hurray!
While the bill still has to pass the Senate, this strong vote in the House is a great step in that direction, and would not have been possible without all your help.
Thanks so much to everyone who spent the last year in grawyater strategy meetings, and the last few months calling and writing your Representatives.
Representative Ben Cannon sponsored the bill, and in his closing remarks on the floor noted that this bill was the work of many graywater advocates, and that the role of the state was to support those efforts, while making sure that graywater reuse occurs in a safe and healthy way. Many thanks to Ben for acknowledging the will of the people on this issue, and seeing it through.
Now, we have a lull while the bill goes to Senate Committee. During this time, we hope to gather official support for the bill from aligned businesses and organizations. I'll be sending out a more formal request soon, but if you're interested in endorsing the bill, please let me know.
Again, many thanks from me and from the waters of Oregon.
