Garden Planting Party & BBQ Galore Come on out Saturday, October 18th at 10am for some hands on planting fun. Build swales and other rainwater harvesting earthworks, sheet mulch a garden, plant some veggies and trees, build an herb spiral and so much more. Permablitz an urban home and learn how you can do the same where you live too.
We will have the BBQ going so bring food you would like to grill as well as any other potluck food or drink.
There will be fun for the whole family!! Music, food, fun and games all while cultivating a garden. Suggested Donations of $5-$15 to raise money for permaculture related projects in our communities!

Film Series: The Future of Food
Join us for a screening of The Future of Food on Thursday, October 23 at
7:00 p.m. This documentary offers
an in-depth investigation into the disturbing truth behind the unlabeled,
genetically modified foods that have quietly filled grocery store shelves for
the last decade. The film also explores alternatives to industrial
agriculture, offering organic and sustainable practices as real solutions to
today's farm crisis.
Please bring non-GMO contaminated foods to share in a community potluck before the film. Presented by the Santa Monica Main Library and Westside Permaculture Gatherings.
Film Screening will take place in the MLK Auditorium of the Santa Monica Main Library, 601 Santa Monica Blvd, Santa Monica.

Your Ocean Needs You State of Our Ocean Town Hall Meeting Thursday, October 23rd @ 6pm Find out what dangers are affecting our oceans and what we can do about it. This will be an opportunity to hear from experts as well as voice your own opinion on possible solutions. (Tell them about Rainwater Harvesting)

City of Santa Monica is currently exploring the possibility of
developing a program where private home owners would partner with
interested gardeners to use a portion of their property to grow
