Bike-loan out program with Bike Oven
Come out during Art Crawl X as we celebrate the opening of the new installation at M&A. The Bike Oven is generously loaning out some of their refurbished bikes this year so that you can pedal, not crawl (in traffic) to the other galleries in the neighborhood. A piece of collateral will get you a bike to tool around on for two hours at a time during the Art Crawl Friday night.
An "extreme cantilever" built from aluminum and polypropylene rope hovers over the courtyard of Materials & Applications (M&A) in Silver Lake, Los Angeles. This structure is an outdoor installation created by Dwayne Oyler and Jenny Wu, called Density Fields. With the help of engineer Bruce Danziger from Arup and many volunteers, the piece will be another reason for rubber necking in the Silver Lake neighborhood.
Beer provided by New Belgium Brewery.
Special thanks to our sponsors: The Harpo Foundation, Fountainhead design and engineering, M&K Metals, and R. Scott Mitchell of detex.
