*********M&A ICE-CREAM SOCIAL********* FRIDAY, AUG. 31, 2007 - 4PM-8PM A celebration to close M&A's "frozen" summer! "Ukendt (Igloo)" will leave M&A this weekend and go to its new home at LACMA. We thought it would only be right to say farewell to our arctic icon with an iconic frozen treat. So join us at M&A for ice cream and beats, and to review some proofs of and subscribe to M&A's new publication M&A CLIMATE. "Ukendt" is a bamboo and industrial felt construction by Danish artist Anja Franke , architect John Southern, and M&A lead fabricator Nick Blake. It is a cold climate icon rendered using warm climate materials and techniques appropriate to Southern California. ********M&A Volunteer Weekend 01******** Saturday, SEPT. 1, 2007 12PM-Sunset Help us strike the igloo and prepare for the newest installation!
