Required training May 6th & 7th, 2006.

Learn the basics of Permaculture Design, Natural Landscaping and Building. Projects include Building with Stone, StrawBales and EarthBags, as well as -Converting a suburban front and backyard into an ever-evolving food and resource system -an Eco Home Make-Over!

Have Fun Learning:

* Permaculture Design Basics -hardscape and landscape.

* EarthBag Construction -walls and garden beds.

* Pond Building and Water Features -for growing fish and aquatic plants.

* FoodForestry -how to plant and care for fruit trees and more.

* Permaculture Garden Techniques -sheet mulching, clay pot irrigation, biodiversity and rare food plants.

* Sticks & Stones -patios, walkways and more.

No experience necessary...

This volunteer learning opportunity is on-going in and around Santa Maria and Southern San Luis Obispo County...  may lead to paid positions... -If interested, please reply with brief bio and availability.
