Santa Barbara Culinary Arts presents
Join UCSB Executive Chef Jaime Herrera for a tour de
cuisine featuring local,
sustainable food sources. For more than a decade UCSB
Food Services has partnered with area
growers to foster a culture of local, fresh and
sustainable foods that link local
agriculture, ranching, and fishing to campus food
service.
(SBCA is adding viticulture!)
Enjoy the local bounty that’s just outside your back
door:
DeyDey’s Best Farm Fresh (grass fed beef),
San Marcos Farms (honey),
Shepherd Farms (organic salad greens and seasonal
vegetables),
Farmer Direct Produce (flowers and produce),
Santa Barbara Fish Market (Santa Barbara Channel
seafood),
The Berry Man, Inc. (berries and produce), and
Touring & Tasting (wine).
All will share information about their locally sourced
products and
contribute foods for an evening of culinary delights
prepared by Chef Herrera
from the bounty of Santa Barbara’s fields, pastures, and
ocean.
