Dear Permie Friends,
Hug a Saint, Hug a Tree!

Amma will be at the M.A. Center in San Ramon.
If you are interesting and able to come and volunteer please click here: http://tinyurl.com/Trees4Ma
Come join us at the largest Broadacre Permaculture Reforestation Project in the Bay area at the M.A. Center in San Ramon this June 3-12!
Last year Common Vision, Green Friends, & the MA Center initiated a grand reforestation project including planting over 350 trees, thousands of companion plants, over 900' of swales, keyline plow patterning, and more at this stunning site and U.S. ashram headquarters of renowed international humanitarian and spiritual leader Amma. (www.embracingtheworld.org)
Workshops were held to help initiatie this project and contribute to the design with veteran international permaculture designer Geoff Lawton, soil scientist Dr. Elaine Ingham, apple grower Michael Phillips, keyline plow specialist Darren Doherty, and others.
We are putting out the call for volunteers to help us continue this incredible project this June 3-12 during Amma's visit.
During this time over 10,000 people will be coming to the M.A Center for Amma's visit to recieve a blessing in the form of a hug. This is a special opportunity to introduce people from all over the country to permaculture and a regenerative, beyond-organic approach to land management and agriculture.
GreenFriends will be running tours and work parties of the new orchards that now contain 350 fruit trees, thousands of companion plants, hundreds of timber trees, over 900’ of swales, Keyline patterning and ploughing, a regiment of compost tea and extract, and a plan to incorporate rotational grazing in the orchard rows.
We are looking for volunteer support as well as folks with some experience to help guide, educate, and introduce people to these regenerative practices.
Projects Include:• Reforesting the Hillsides
• Planting 1000 Fruit Trees
• Developing Exemplary Rainwater Catchment
• Providing Quality Sustainability Workshops
• Restoring and Developing Resilient Eco-Systems
• Inspiring Thousands to Care for the Earth
Hope to see you there!
